Both of these titles offer unique storylines and characters, as well as plenty of opportunity for the player to make decisions that will shape their relationships. The Nintendo Switch has already proven itself to be an incredibly versatile console, but now it’s branching out into something a little unexpected – dating sims. Dating sims are a type of visual novel game, where the player takes on the role of a protagonist, and they must navigate a storyline while making decisions that affect their relationships with other characters.

It also provides an opportunity for more mature gamers to find games that fit their interests, as dating sims often contain elements of mystery, horror, and even romance – genres that aren’t usually seen on consoles. What really pulled me in was being able to fight alongside my own Palico and Palamute, basically a cat and a dog with armor and weapons.

Later Daters also features bright, colorful art, a wide range of body types and skin tones, and is LGBTQ+ friendly. Currently, only the first three episodes are available on the Switch, but there are four more available on PC that may make their way to the Switch in the future. Originally a single game, Fantasy Tavern Sextet was divided up into three games for the Switch, each featuring two of the six love interests. In this game, you play as a cook for a maid cafe who finds himself pulled into another world.

This ability comes in handy when she tries to assist the different guys in various situations.
